Fallon Meltdown

Well, Fallon isn’t really melting down but they are melting their awards. I can’t really imagine any creative wanting to toss away their One Show award or Cannes award for an art project for a company. However, Fallon is a different story. From the people I know who work there this is something they would love to do. They have all drank the kool-aid, as we say. It’s impressive how dedicated employees and past employees are to Fallon, still to this day, even if they were laid off during one of their several rounds. How do they do that? And is it really good for the culture? People?
Now, to the mosaic itself. Are they burning down and rebuilding? They are moving back to their old building, small space, lower floor, is this a way to try and keep everything unified for all of time? Seems like a cry for help.
I wish the best to them, as they are a staple in the Minneapolis advertising community – but something big will need to really turn them around. Not a mosaic of melted awards.
